This is such a sweet, old-fashioned baby blanket. Granny squares are timeless! I crocheted stems right onto the blanket and added appliquéd crocheted leaves to several of the flower motifs in keeping with the spring theme. The border contains all of the blanket colors and ties everything together. The lavender crocheted scallops around the edge give it a very feminine touch.
This blanket is also heavy for its size, giving that extremely comforting weight that helps babies sleep. Fold this blanket in two and your baby will think he’s on a mattress! The squares are crocheted, not sewn, together making this blanket extremely durable.
This blanket is just the right size to wrap a baby with room to spare and then graduate into a favorite “blankie”. You don’t have to worry about care because it can be tossed into the washer and dryer.
Dimensions: 36 inches square when unstretched and laid flat
Care: Machine wash with like colors on warm, tumble dry low. I strongly suggest you not hang it to dry unless you have a preference for extremely stretched out blankets. No bleach, no iron.
