Flamingos Square-in-Square Crib Quilt

Description

This one-of-a-kind crib quilt was made of high quality quilting cotton, machine pieced and quilted, and hand-bound. Many hours went into its making.

The bright and fun top is pieced in a traditional square-in-square pattern using a mix of current and vintage fabrics. The adorable flamingos play hide and seek in the squares.

The quilt is backed in vintage plaid cotton. It was machine quilted in an echo of the plaid pattern set on point using thread in coordinating colors.

The batting is 100% cotton, perfect for giving you that traditional rumpled look. I hand-bound the quilt with double-binding I made from high-quality quilting cotton. Double-binding wears much longer and is prefered for quilts that will see high use. This is a well-made quilt that will be tucked around multiple generations of babies, with the look of an heirloom from the beginning.

Care:  Machine wash with like colors on warm, tumble dry low or hang to dry. The quilt has been pre-washed.
